Life isn’t easy. We all get stuck sometimes and feel down or overwhelmed. Therapy offers a non-judgmental and safe space where you have the freedom to express your feelings authentically. I believe in a therapeutic relationship that allows you to bring the real, messy, confusing and uncomfortable parts of being human to light. The result is freedom, joy and growth.
Carl Rogers said it best, “a person is a fluid process, not a fixed and static entity; a flowing river of change…” We each have the innate ability to learn, grow and make sustainable changes in our lives. As your therapist, I will help guide you to identify the thoughts and behaviors that are keeping you from achieving your potential. Together we will explore new methods of thinking and living in order to help you achieve your goals.
Trained in a variety of treatment methods for both adults and adolescents, I understand that every individual requires a personalized approach to treatment. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma or are simply finding it difficult to adjust to a change in circumstances, I will work with you to find the method that works best for you.
I hold a master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts Global, a nationally accredited institution. Additionally, I am trained in the treatment of grief and substance use and have experience working with service members and their families. As an adamant believer in continued learning and growth, I continue to seek advanced training in the treatment of trauma.
