Danielle received her Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University, she was recently licensed as an associate counselor and enjoys working with individuals, couples and families. We at Simply Thrive are excited to have another counselor at the clinic who is able to work with children and teens on a variety of clinical issues including depression, anxiety, sexuality and gender expression!
A word from Danielle:
"Feelings can be confusing. Everything in life is going according to plan, but somehow anxiety and guilt keep popping up. Maybe it feels like you’ve exhausted all your options and can’t shake the hopelessness or loneliness. Polarizing language like always and never might dominate your daily speech leaving a sense of inadequacy. I am here to hold and sift through it all.
I believe our lives are similar to stories, we get placed in fixed roles or storylines that leave us feeling stuck. These stories can be hurtful or helpful, and it is my hope to collaborate with you to find clarity and change as you move forward in your life.
My goal is to allow a safe space where authenticity can flourish in the room. I incorporate narrative, solution-focused and systems lenses into therapy to achieve your ideal future. This includes holding power, privilege, your strengths and multiple perspectives in one room.
I have experience working in community mental health, with LGBTQIA+ communities and experience working with children, teens and adults. I work with individuals, couples and families.
I applaud your courage in taking this step, and would be honored to partner with you moving forward."
