I value being genuine, warm, and caring as a clinician and hope that you’ll find these characteristics to be accurate when we meet. Picking a therapist can be a challenging endeavor and one that I hope to make easier by sharing my therapeutic approach.
I view myself as a generalist - working with clients on the different challenges that they are experiencing. While my work is largely based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), my main priority is making sure that each client’s individual needs are met. I ensure this by integrating person-centered, mindfulness, and multicultural orientations. Since each person is unique, I strive to emphasize building our therapeutic relationship and collaborating in a way that best meets your presenting concerns.
I aspire to help with aspects of your life that may not be going as well as you’d like. I am confident that there are skills, abilities, and talents that you currently embody that will guide our work together. Additionally, I have training in anxiety, depression, LGB health, men’s issues, substance use and abuse and sports and performance psychology for those that are interested. Advocating for yourself by going to therapy can be an important step in gaining balance in your life and I hope to have that opportunity to do so with you.
