Thanks for your interest in my practice with Simply Thrive Pschotherapy, PLLC!
I am a compassionate, energetic therapist who believes that change is always possible! Therapy can help you figure out why you feel and think the way you do, and can help identify areas to focus on change in your life. Whether you are struggling personally or have relationship problems, therapy can support growth and well-being.
I do not practice "one size fits all” therapy. I believe each client is unique, and that therapy is most helpful when it is customized to your specific personality, problems, needs, and goals. As your therapist, I will prioritize understanding what your current needs and issues are, and will spend some time getting to know you and your history in order to provide you with compassionate and personalized care.
For individuals, I specialize in anxiety reduction and mood disorders (like depression). I also develop personalized treatment of PTSD and trauma-related conditions (i.e. sexual assault, military experiences, motor vehicle accidents, etc.).
For individual therapy, I utilize evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure Therapy; and I integrate other techniques as needed to best meet clients' needs. I often include mindfulness practices (like meditation or MBCBT for couples or individuals). I also provide targeted ADHD-therapy that focuses on understanding how ADHD impacts thinking and behavior, and which provides structured development and practice of compensatory strategies to support better executive functioning as well as life organization.
I also provide couples therapy and enjoy working with all types of relationships in any stage of togetherness.Couples therapy is also tailored for each couple; and is typically informed with the Gottman Method and CB-CBT. Other modalities may be used depending on the specific couple's needs.
Everyone experiences times of struggle and conflict in their life. Therapy can help you understand why the struggle exists, what it means, and can provide helpful tools and insight to resolve the struggle and live a happier and more fulfilling life!
